Breakout Session 1
Make Your Living as a Creative
Bobby Macey, Macey Media
Tired of churning out content that looks great but doesn’t do much? In this dynamic, no-fluff session built for creatives, you’ll learn how to shift from simply creating content to building content that converts to sales. Whether you’re a freelancer or part of a full-time team, this 45-minute session will help you think more like a marketer, without sacrificing your creative edge.
Breakout Session 2
How to Stay Creative When the Building’s on Fire
Chad Lanenga, Cooper Carlo Studio
You’ve got a deadline, the pressure’s on, and your brain’s got nothing. The ideas aren’t landing, the spark’s gone, and you’re supposed to come up with something brilliant by tomorrow. Sound familiar? In this session, you’ll get practical strategies to break through burnout, spark fresh thinking fast, and stay creative under pressure—so you can deliver work that hits, even when the pressure is on.
Breakout Session 3
Justin Ashby, Fractional VP of Marketing
Marketers often chase complexity, thinking only nuanced and original creativity will win. The reality is the best creative work happens within simple, strategic constraints: a clear offer and a focused distribution plan.
If you’ve helped one customer, then you already know what they need and how to speak to them. That becomes your offer. From there, it’s an exercise in identifying the channel best suited to deliver that message. Simple marketing doesn’t restrict creativity—it unlocks it.
Breakout Session 4
Breakout 4: Creative – Building Community: Risks & Rewards
Panelists: Trent Mano (Utah Tech Week), Lindsey Ivie (FailFest), Melanie Jones Paris (Utah Business), Tyler Jennings (Reference Group)
In a world that is hyped on AI agents and automated tech stacks, human connection is more important than ever. Join us as we learn about the risks, rewards, and best practices of community building from some of Utah’s best in the biz.
